Dodge County deputies have identified a man whose body was found in the Platte River on Sunday.
Deputies say two kayakers spotted the body that was caught in limbs and debris in the river about two miles west of North Bend. Investigators contacted other law enforcement agencies to see if they had any unresolved missing persons report. Colfax County said that 29 year old Alex Orellana of Rogers, Nebraska was reported missing in January. Tattoos helped investigators determine that the body was Orellana's.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday. The case remains under investigation.
