OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Omaha police say a 12-year-old boy was injured after being hit by an SUV at 48th and Manderson Street just before 5 p.m. Wednesday.
The investigation revealed the boy was riding a bike eastbound on Manderson when he went through a stop sign and collided with a northbound 2016 Ford Edge.
He wasn't wearing a helmet.
Omaha fire paramedics took the boy to Nebraska Medicine in serious condition. He needed treatment for fractures on his face and leg. Per medical staff, his injuries aren't life-threatening.
The driver of the SUV, Doris Rhames, 60, was not hurt.
