Iowa Governor Terry Branstad will meet with President-elect Donald Trump this week about possibly becoming the next U.S. ambassador to China.
Branstad has a tentative appointment to meet with Trump while he's in New York for an economic development trip Tuesday through Thursday. During a rally before the election, Trump praised Branstad's knowledge of trade and called him a "prime candidate to take care of China."
While Branstad has not been offered the ambassadorship, he has had discussions with his family about possibly moving to China.
