Nebraska wildlife officials are cautioning people to stay away from a moose spotted roaming through northeast Nebraska.

The Lincoln Journal Star reported the bull moose was spotted northwest of Columbus on September 26th.

McKenna Frevert, who shot a video of the moose sighting said the moose was spotted just south of her family farm about eight miles south of Wayne.

It's rare for moose to venture into Nebraska.

Officials urge everyone to stay away from the moose even if it appears calm.
