OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Due to today's forecast of "warm, dry and windy conditions," the Douglas County Fire Chiefs have implemented a county-wide burn ban until further notice.
If conditions change, it's possible the ban could be lifted.
The fire chiefs will continue to evaluate conditions to make that decision.
When asked what the ban applies to, the fire chiefs said it "Is primarily brush piles, leaves, etc. Fire pits are not recommended when it is this windy. Grills are okay."
