Candlelight vigil held for 16-year-old crash...

Family and friends remembered the girl they called the life of the party. 16-year-old Haley Wright died in a crash on Friday morning.

Under the glow of Christmas lights and flickering candles, dozens of family and friends of Haley Wrights sing happy birthday. This was supposed to be Wright's 17th birthday party.

"It's heartbreaking," said Wright's aunt Denise fKinney.

But now loved ones are coming together for a different reason to reflect on her life.

"Haley was a very bubbly, loving affectionate person, she was the life of the party," said Kinney.

"She was like my first kid," said Sarah Wright, Haley's sister.

Wright died in a crash Friday morning just before 10:30a.m. near the I-80, 1-29 interchange. Wright was the front seat passenger and was ejected. Family said Wright was on her way to a dentist appointment. Wright's sister said the last few days have been hard on the family.

"I'm breathing, we're all breathing and that's just about it," said Sarah Wright.

And remembers in young girl who was full of life.

"If she didn't know you, you got to know her she would come up and introducer herself and made you feel like she knew you for her entire life," said Kinney.

Wright wanted to become a pre-school teacher. Her family set up a scholarship in her name at the Great Western Bank for a future Abraham Lincoln High School student who wants to become a teacher.

Wright's funeral is this Friday at 11a.m.
