A new bikini bar has applied for a liquor license as it prepares to move into the old Mount Fuji Inn near on 72nd and Blondo streets.

The Omaha City Council agenda indicates a bar called Candyland is applying to sell beer, wine, and spirits near 72nd and Blondo streets, just blocks away from St. Pius/St. Leo School and Creighton Prep High School.

The club's owner, who also owns a local smoke shop, has never applied for a liquor license.

A public hearing over the request will be held on July 17 at the Omaha Civic Center.
