A Midwest gas station chain says a recent report about credit card skimmers in southwest Iowa is false.
A representative for Casey’s General Store says they have reached out to the publisher behind the Crawford Communications Facebook page because of a post with misinformation.
The company says they have no reports of skimmers found at gas stations in Council Bluffs.
They say they have been vigilant since the October discovery of devices at six stores in Nebraska and one in Iowa.
In an October statement, Casey’s said it instituted additional procedures for inspecting pumps at all stores.
