CASS COUNTY, Iowa. (KMTV) — Cass County, Iowa officials are asking residents to increase awareness when using credit cards after two skimmers were arrested.
The Cass County Sheriff's Office received a call from an Iowa State Patrol trooper saying they attempted a stop on Highway 71, one mile south of I-80, which then became a pursuit.
The pursuit ended in Dallas County, where the two known credit card skimmers were apprehended.
Locations of the arrestees while they were in Cass County are unknown and the individuals could have tampered with card readers.
The Atlantic Chamber of Commerce has been notified of the incident and surrounded communities will also be contacted.
