COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (KMTV) -- — A Council Bluffs woman wants answers after finding GPS tracking device under her car.

Taylor Foster says a man came up to her car in her driveway at 4 a.m. on April 21 and put a magnetic tracker by her back tire. The act is caught on surveillance video. Within a few minutes the man in the hood is seen under the vehicle, and then he takes off.

The Council Bluffs Police Department is investigating who put the tracker there.

Foster says she has an idea of who it was and feels like her privacy was invaded.

“There’s intent to do something illegal. That’s just how I see it. You’re intending on doing something that’s not right and if we just let people get away with it. When is too far?” Foster said.

A Council Bluffs PD Sergeant says it could be the government doing an investigation. If it’s not it would be considered criminal and the person responsible could at the least be charged with trespassing.

Foster hopes police take this seriously, and the suspect is charged with stalking to keep people from thinking they can get away with tracking someone without them knowing because it could happen to others.
