Investigators say a lamp started Friday's fire that destroyed a bank in downtown Wahoo on Friday.
Wahoo Fire Chief Mark Meyer says crews making roof repairs left a halogen light on, which was blown over by the wind, starting the fire.
Firefighters from several departments spent most of the day battling the fire, which heavily damaged the Wahoo State Bank. The building was built in the late 1800's. Several neighboring businesses also suffered smoke and water damage.
