OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — At 4:40 a.m., the Council Bluffs Police Department investigated a cutting and stabbing incident between family members they say.

Upon investigating at 813 Harrison Street, police allege the suspect, 60-year-old Dwight D. Poore, "was upset with the victim, Jesse J. Poore over allegations that Jesse had sexually abused a member of the family."

During a confrontation, they say Dwight Poore pulled a knife and stabbed Jesse Poore in the back and then cut his own wife's hand as he attempted to leave the scene.

A short time later, Dwight Poore was located, arrested and booked into Pottawattamie Corrections for two counts of Willful Injury.
