BELLEVUE, Neb. (KMTV) — One child has died after being struck by a vehicle in Bellevue around 5 p.m. Sunday evening.
The accident happened near 4th and Pleasantview Lane.
Bellevue Police says 9-year-old Caleb Roman was struck by an SUV traveling southbound on North 4th Street.
Roman was transported to Nebraska Medical Center and was pronounced dead shortly after.
The driver of the SUV remained on scene and no arrests have been made at this time. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
Bellevue Public Schools issued the following statement:
