OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — An 8-year-old was seriously injured after being hit by a pick-up truck just after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
It happened near 33rd and Ames right by Skinner Elementary School.
The child was taken to Nebraska Medicine.
Another kid was also hit by the truck. That person was taken to Children's Hospital by private car.
Omaha police are still investigating but say there was no crosswalk so it appears the children walked into traffic.
Speed was not a factor in the crash.
