OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — If you grew up watching Saturday Night Live, want to try your hand at improv or just love comedy in general...the Blackstone District will soon be your one-stop destination for all things funny.

According to a release from Big Canvas, a nonprofit with the mission of “Comedy for Everyone,” they will be opening a new comedy theater in the Blackstone District this fall.

“Big Canvas is so excited to be opening a theater and community space. We can’t wait to continue to offer the family and community comedy in a permanent home,” Lindsey Theis, Outreach Director for Big Canvas said.

They say the new space will feature a 1300-square-foot theater with room for 70 spectators and a 400-square-foot classroom and workshop area for those interested in learning from the "all volunteer staff of comedians with decades of experience."
