Complaints filed against Juvi Center board members

Posted

Ethics complaints have been filed against four members of the board that's trying to come up with plans for a new juvenile justice center.

A group of residents filed formal complaints against Douglas County Commissioners Mary Ann Borgeson and P.J. Morgan, Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine, and Omaha City Council member Ben Gray claiming they did not file potential conflict of interest statements with the state Accountability and Disclosure Commission.

The group is questioning whether the four are being compensated by the Justice Center Development Corporation, which is trying to decide whether to build a new Juvenile Justice Center near 18th & Howard.

The board will have a public meeting Friday at 9 a.m..
