Congressman Don Bacon is responding after a private event, slated for this upcoming weekend is cancelled.
Congressman Bacon was supposed to speak to 30 middle and high school students from the local community about government.
A group called, Omaha Liberty Ladies and Homemakers for America organized it, but learned that Indivisible Omaha was going to show up and take over.
Congressman Don Bacon sent 3 News Now this statement Wednesday:
"I am thoroughly disheartened that certain groups and organizations feel it is their right to further their personal agendas by hijacking a privately organized and hosted event."
