COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (KMTV) — A Council Bluffs man was arrested early Friday morning after assaulting two police officers.
According to the Council Bluffs Police Department, 31-year-old Michael Whickman gave officers a false name, threw punches and then attempted to flee. After a struggle, officers were able to detain him.
Wickman will be charged with two counts of assault on police officers as well as one count of false information, interference with official acts and eluding.
Wickman and both officers suffered minor injuries and Wickman was the only one hospitalized. He will be formerly charged once he is released.
