Council Bluffs Police are looking for two men who robbed a bank Tuesday morning.
The Council Bluffs Police Department says they recovered a stolen car believed to have been used by the men who robbed the American National Bank around 11:30 a.m.
Police said witnesses told them the men, one armed with a gun, entered the bank wearing white masks and sunglasses on their faces, along with black hooded sweatshirts, black pants and gloves.
The man with a gun stayed in the lobby area, according to police, as the other man jumped over the counter and took money from a cashier’s drawer.
Investigators say they fled in a silver Chevrolet Cavalier, which was found abandoned a couple of blocks away.
Police say the car was stolen overnight from the area near N 34th Street and Whitmore Street.
The FBI is also investigating the bank robbery. Police ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 712-328-STOP.
