Crews are battling a fire near NP Dodge Park and Hummel Park on the northeast side of Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — On Wednesday afternoon, a fire broke out on Oakridge Road near NP Dodge Park to the south Hummel Park.

As of 5 p.m., 3 News Now photojournalist Wade Lux learned that the fire was close to being extinguished.

A preschool program at Hummel Park was closed in the afternoon as a precaution due to its proximity to the fire.
