OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Vanderbilt Commodores have won their first two games at the College World Series. Two more would put them in the national championship. Along for the ride and inspiring the players is Josh Ruchotzke...a quadruple amputee.

Ruchotzke has been with the program for six years. During that time he's served in a number of capacities including:

  • Assisting on the field in training
  • Putting together scouting reports
  • Running TrackMan Software and data entry/analysis

Tonight on 3 News Now Live at 6, Reporter Phil Bergman will give us a look at Ruchotzke's career with Vanderbilt and how his love of baseball has inspired him to be a part of the sport he loves even with the hurdles he's faced.

We'll also be meeting with a local prognosticator who says he's got the winner of the CWS figured out.
