OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Many area ballparks were damaged by flooding earlier this year. With that in mind, the College World Series of Omaha, Inc. and the NCAA say they're providing "additional grant funding" for this year's grant cycle...but the deadline is approaching fast.
According to a release from the College World Series of Omaha, the deadline to apply will be "no later than 5:30 p.m. CT Oct. 1."
All applications will be reviewed and candidates will hear back no later than January of 2020.
The grants are part of a program that has been in place since 1973 that helps "update or maintain Omaha area youth baseball & softball facilities."
