Council Bluffs Police officials have identified the man who was shot and killed in the area of 10th Street and Avenue B Tuesday morning.
A call came into 911 just before 4:30 a.m. for a report of a man lying in the middle of the street.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and investigators say he was shot.
The victim was identified as 39-year-old Larry J Scott.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday.
CBPD officials say detectives and crime scene investigators are still in the process of collecting evidence and canvassing the neighborhood for witnesses.
