More than two weeks after a single-vehicle crash left a woman dead, authorities have arrested a man believed to have been the driver.
The Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office says 20-year-old Colin Larsen was arrested Friday and faces a felony charge of leaving the scene of an accident involving injury or death.
Deputies identified him as the driver in a crash that happened around 6 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 20 on Highway 31, just west of Highway 50.
Tiffany Hofmeister, 20, was found dead at the scene of the crash, but Larsen was later located in a field about a mile away.
Investigators said they were looking into if speed or alcohol played a role in the crash.
