A Minnesota woman was arrested after deputies say they found 102 pounds of marijuana in her SUV during a traffic stop Sunday.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says 32-year-old Sharla Martin, of Maple Grove, Minnesota, was booked into jail to face felony charges of possession with intent to deliver and failure to affix a tax stamp.
Investigators say a deputy stopped her around 10:40 p.m. as she was heading east on Interstate 80, near 24th Street, because of a traffic infraction.
The deputy could smell marijuana inside her vehicle and saw several large duffel bags in the rear of the Chevrolet Tahoe, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
With the help of a police dog, deputies say they found 95 heat-sealed bags of marijuana weighing 102 pounds inside six duffel bags.
Investigators say Martin was traveling from Nevada to Minnesota.
