Officials with the Dodge County Sheriff's Office said a man was killed when a train collided with his pickup Sunday afternoon.

Dodge County officials identified the driver killed in the crash as 65-year-old Robert M. Conn of North Bend.

The crash occurred west of North Bend and one quarter south of Hwy 30.

According to officials, at around 3:55 p.m., they were dispatched to a car/train accident at Country Road 3 and Union Pacific Railroad Crossing.

The sheriff's investigation revealed that an eastbound Union pacific train was traveling at about 45 miles per hour when it collided with Conn, who was driving a 2008 model Chevrolet pickup.

Authorities said Conn was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Officials added that alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
