OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — On Christmas Eve, staffers at the Open Door Mission filled gift bags and gave them out to the less fortunate.
In total, 800 people received gifts after residents were sized in advance for boots and other clothing.
"The vast majority of the people who are with us are not going to see family, don't have anyone else giving them presents, so this is hugely important to for them," Open Door Mission Program Director Steve Frazee said.
The children staying in the Lydia House also received gifts, courtesy of a visit from Santa.
