Douglas County Board approves re-location of election commission

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Douglas County Board of Commissioners approved a proposal to relocate the Douglas County Election Commission at its meeting today.

The new location will be the northwest corner of Bel Air Plaza near 120th and W Center Road. The current location is near 114th and Dodge. The relocation should be complete by the fall of 2019.

The Douglas County Election Commission is responsible for conducting elections for all political subdivisions within the county. The Commission is also responsible for registering voters, providing early ballots, locating polling places, and staffing the polls with nearly 2,000 poll workers for each statewide election.
