OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The Douglas County Board of Health (BOH) says they are ready to pass a resolution asking all cities in Douglas County to pass a mask ordinance.
Officials say that's based on the increased number of COVID-19 cases over the last 10 days, the increased positivity rate for the last week, and high levels of community spread.
The Douglas County Health Department (DCHD) doesn't have the authority to pass a new Directed Health Measure without the approval of Gov. Pete Ricketts. He has stated opposition to mask mandates.
