OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — A while back, Walgreens named Nebraska and Omaha as nation-wide leaders in flu activity. Today, the Douglas County Health Department confirmed two pediatric flu deaths in the county.
They say there have been "3,758 lab-confirmed flu cases in the most recent DCHD report" and 32 pediatric deaths in the United States this year.
They recommend getting the flu shot for everyone but especially pregnant women, anyone over 65 years of age and those with chronic diseases. The flu season runs through April the department says.
