Drivers along Interstate 80 in central Nebraska alerted authorities to packages falling off a flatbed trailer Friday afternoon.
The packages turned out to be bags of drugs, according to the Nebraska State Patrol.
Troopers seized 122 pounds of high-grade marijuana from a hidden compartment in the undercarriage of the trailer with an estimated street value of $366,000, the state patrol says.
Charlie Red, of Colorado, who was pulling the trailer with a Dodge pickup truck, and passenger Damaisy Rodriguez, of Florida, were both arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana – more than one pound, possession with intent to deliver, and no drug tax stamp.
Both were booked into the Buffalo County Jail.
