Today marks two years since the death of 2-year-old Lane Graves.

The Elkhorn toddler was on vacation with his family when an alligator attacked him at a Disney World resort in Florida

His parents, Matt and Melissa Graves, started the Lane Thomas Foundation to provide financial assistance to families of children undergoing organ transplants.

On the Foundation's Facebook page they posted a photo of Lane and his dad with a message that said, "LT, we love you up to heaven and down to the grass. Hug, kiss, ugga mugga. We will fight every day to keep your memory alive and make a positive difference in your name."

Tonight his family issued this statement:

“We continue to focus on family and sharing Lane’s legacy through the Lane Thomas Foundation. We are grateful for the support and impact the Foundation has had in such a short time supporting families struggling with issues associated with pediatric organ transplants. We miss Lane every day and have dedicated our lives to making a positive impact in his name.”
