The Elkhorn Public School district has taken a big step forward towards building a third high school.
Our partners at the Omaha World-Herald report, the school board approved a $66.2 million contract to Lincoln-based Sampson Construction. The school will be built on 180th and West Maple.
School leaders want to get the project started in spring.
In March, voters approved a $149.2 million bond to build the new high school along with new elementary and middle schools.
