Airport officials are urging people to be prepared for the high volume of travelers.
Instead of thinking of your holiday travel starting when you set foot at the airport, think of it beginning before you head out the door.
Besides checking with your airline for flight delays, fliers should also check for parking availability, according to Steve McCoy, manager of airline affairs at Omaha Airport Authority.

It recently posted a one-stop post on social media to keep people informed before the hustle and bustle, as AAA predicts more than a 100 million Americans will either travel by road or air between Saturday and New Year’s Day.
With a lot of folks coming through and out of the terminals and infrequent travelers, you’ll definitely want to give yourself plenty of time, McCoy said.
