A threat called into Ralston High School prompted an evacuation Wednesday afternoon, but after searching the school, authorities determined the report was not credible.

Ralston and Omaha police departments as well as Douglas County Sheriff's Office responded to the call at the school.

Several parents arrived to pick up their kids after getting word of the threat, but were directed to 84th Street and Park Drive, where students had been evacuated.

Remaining students were allowed to return to the school around 1 p.m. after authorities determined there was no threat. School officials gave students the option to leave with their parents instead of resuming with the school day.

Police say they made contact with the 911 caller, who may face charges.
