Family fun, music, fireworks to ring in July 4th

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) - You don't have to wait until Independence Day to celebrate the holiday.

For Tuesday, there's no shortage of things to do ranging from listening to music to watching a firework show.

The Henry Doorly Zoo will have patriotic themed activities for the family, including bounce houses and science shows for the kids.

Ralstonwill host an open house with a pie eating contest and music starting at 4 p.m. where street dancing will be allowed near the Frank and Velma Johnson Ralston Archives Museum.

At 7:30 p.m., the U.S. Air Force Heartland of America Band will play at the Sumtur Amphitheater in Papillion.

If you're in the mood to watch fireworks, there'll be a firework show after the 6 p.m. Storm Chasers game at Werner Park.
