Congressman Don Bacon's office told KMTV on Thursday the Orozco family is reviewing the Kerrie Orozco act.
Bacon, congressmen David Young and Jeff Fortenberry plan to introduce it next week.
The bill would help relatives of people killed in the line of duty, get their immigration application, processed quicker, after the death of their loved one.
Former congressman Brad Ashford and David Young made a push for it last year, as Orozco's husband, Hector waited for his green card after his wife's death.
