OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Today is an important day for farmers who were impacted by historic flooding in March and are in need of disaster relief.

The Nebraska Farm Bureau says the final day to apply for an established disaster relief fund is today.

People who want to donate or apply for relief can do so at https://www.nefb.org/get-involved/disaster-assistance

Whether people are eligible depends on a number of factors including:

  • Primary household occupation is farming or ranching OR household resides in a rural community with a population of 5,000 or less.
  • Suffered damage and loss due to March 2019 floods and storms.
  • Farm Bureau membership is NOT required to apply or receive aid.
