A father accused of killing his 5-month-old daughter likely won't get out of jail anytime soon.
A Sarpy County judge sets bond at $500,000 – 10% for Camron Ludi, 21. He's charged with felony child abuse resulting in death.
On July 3, 5-month-old Cassidy Kennedy was found unresponsive in his Bellevue apartment near 36th & HWY 370. She died at the hospital.
Ludi told investigators the infant fell 2 ½ feet from the bed to the floor when he went out to smoke. Authorities say the autopsy shows that head trauma from abuse caused her death.
Cassidy's mother misses her every day.
"I felt like there was an evil presence with him but I honestly didn't imagine him hurting Cassidy in any way, but at the same time I barely knew this guy,” said Cassarah Kennedy, Cassidy’s mother.
Ludi will be back in court in January.
