FBI task force makes 14 arrests in Greater Omaha area

The FBI's Greater Omaha Safe Streets Task Force made 14 arrests in connection to a yearlong investigation into the narcotics and weapon trafficking of the Surenos gang, the Omaha Police Department announced in a release Thursday. 

The Task Force included officials from the Omaha Police Department, Bellevue Police Department, Douglas County Sheriff, La Vista Police Department, Council Bluffs Police Department, Nebraska State Patrol and DEA. 

There were 10 arrests made Thursday and four made in May. There are still two outstanding fugitives. 

Here is a breakdown of the arrests that were made: 

-Luis Alberto Hernandez, 24, two counts of PWID-meth

-Jose Chica-Vasquez, 19, two counts of possession of a stolen firearm 

-Jimmy Ramirez, 24, PWID-Cocaine and Criminal Conspiracy 

-Ernesto Buenrostro 33, PWID-Meth with a gun, Possession of a firearm during commission of a felony (PWID-Meth), PWID-Meth, and three counts of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person 

-Dwayne Oltmanns, 50, PWID-Meth

-Diego Camacho 19, Criminal Conspiracy (PWID-Cocaine)

-Dante Vicharra Jr. 18, PWID-Meth, Criminal Conspiracy (Meth)

-Abraham Roberto Flores 18, Criminal Conspiracy (PWID-Cocaine), Aiding Consummation of a Felony, and PWID-Money

-Pablo Inda, 28, charges: four counts of PWID-Meth and Criminal Conspiracy

-One person arrested on a federal arrest warrant (information not released at this time)

May 2017 the following were arrested:

-Jorge Rolando Flores, 27, PWID-Meth and THC Wax

-Carlos Garcia, 18, PWID-Cocaine and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony (PWID-Cocaine)

-Bissell Alberto Santos, 20, Accessory to a felony

-Jose Artemio Enriquez, 22, PWID-Meth

Outstanding fugitives:

-Brian Chaidez, 21, two counts of PWID-Cocaine

 

-Amanda Marie Samaroo, 35, two counts of PWID-Meth.
