The FBI says it has arrested a man for a series of bank robberies in Nebraska and Western Iowa.
U.S. Marshals arrested 25 year old Tyree Carney of Omaha for his alleged role in several bank robberies in addition to using a weapon and being a felon in possession of a weapon.
Agents are tying Carney to the holdups at the Springfield State Bank in Springfield, Nebraska in September of 2016, the Cornerstone Bank in Murray, Nebraska in March of 2017, and the attempted robbery of a Wells Fargo bank in May of this year.
The FBI Great Plains Violent Crime Task Force is responsible for the investigation into the bank robberies that Carney was allegedly involved with. The task force was assisted by Cass County Sheriff's Office, Omaha Police Department Robbery Unit, Sarpy County Sheriff's Office, The Pottawattamie County Sheriff's Office, and Bellevue Police Department.
