Fifth graders get a chance to try out careers

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — More than 1,000 Council Bluffs fifth grade students are interacting with career professionals to give future careers a try.

The event takes place from 9:40-11:15 a.m and then again from 12-1:45 p.m. at the Mid America Center in Council Bluffs.

Rotary Clubs of Council Bluffs and about 100 volunteers made the career fair possible for the ninth year.

Some of the careers the students get to try out include:
- Lawyer
- Veterinarian
- Military
- Biologist
- Banker
- Hair Stylist
- Firefighter
- Opthalmologist
