A fingerprint at the scene helped investigators make an arrest in a recent convenience store robbery, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
Trenton VanSchoiack, 23, is accused of robbing the Kum and Go near 189th and Q streets while wearing a pair of basketball shorts on his head.
A spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Office says the crime scene investigation division found a print at the scene, which led to VanSchoiack’s identity.
Samantha Stern, 22, was also arrested. Deputies say she was with VanSchoiack at the time of the robbery and they found the clothes he wore in her car.
VanSchoiack faces charges of robbery and use of a weapon to commit a felony. Stern was booked into jail for a charge of accessory to a felony.
