OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Five people were injured, one critically, after a driver swerved to avoid hitting a deer and struck a tree early Saturday morning.
Officers were dispatched to 8814 N. 60th St at 4:57 a.m. for a single vehicle personal injury collision.
Police say a 2003 Honda Accord was traveling northbound on 60th St when the driver swerved to avoid hitting a deer.
The driver, 35-year-old Wei Wei Tin, hit a tree after losing control of the vehicle. Tin sustained a head injury that isn't considered life-threatening.
The front seat passenger, Mu Dah, 37, was flown to Nebraska Medicine. Dah has critical life-threatening injuries.
Three juveniles suffered non-life threatening head injuries.
