Douglas County deputies arrested five juveniles on burglary charges Monday afternoon.
Deputies were called to the area of 81st and Willit Street around 12:30 Monday afternoon for suspicious activity. A witness say a silver car park down the street from her home and saw several people get out and walk into the backyards of nearby homes. While looking for the car in the area, deputies received a 911 call of a burglary in progress about a mile away near 110th and Bauman Avenue. A witness told deputies that they saw the suspects kick in the front door and entered the house before leaving with televisions. That witness gave a description of the suspects and a license plate number. Deputies stopped the vehicle as it left the area and took the suspects into custody.
Sheriff's deputies say it appears at least two burglaries happened, and are looking into whether there were any others.
