OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Omaha police say investigators have arrested five juveniles in connection to recent carjackings.
It stems from three carjackings around Omaha. Police are also investigating a purse snatching. The incidents were reported within five days of each other and the victims were females in each of the cases.
The age range of the suspects are between 13 and 17.
A 17-year-old is facing robbery and flight to avoid arrest charges.
A 14-year-old is also facing robbery charges.
Four teens are facing conspiracy to commit robbery charges.
As police typically see more carjacking crimes in the warmer months, they remind people to be aware of their surroundings. Park vehicles in well-lit areas. If you suspect something suspicious, do not get out of your car. Move to a different location and call 911 immediately.
