Tuesday, nearly 30 florists are competing in the semifinals for HyVee's Extreme Floral Challenge.
The competitors have 2 1/2 hours to complete five floral designs for judges.
Tiffany Arrick has been a florist at the Hyvee off Madison Avenue in Council Bluffs for 11 years. It's her first year competing.
"I thought it would be fun and something different."
From this group, the top two will move onto the finals to compete against finishers in three other areas Nov. 11 in Des Moines.
