OMAHA, Neb. — An Omaha woman was sentenced Tuesday for writing bad checks.
Our partners at the Omaha World-Herald report that Douglas County District Judge Greg Schatz sentenced 43-year-old former Ralston chamber member Michelle I. McElligott on Tuesday to five years probation.
Court records show McElligott wrote more than 60 three-figure checks to herself in 2017 and 2018 without permission.
