OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — The people who lived in the Yale Park Apartments are now suing the landlord after the city condemned the buildings.
According to our partners at the Omaha World-Herald, the former tenants are now trying to get their security deposit and rent money back. The complaint was filed in Douglas County court against Kay Anderson and AB Realty.
Many of the people who lived in the complex are refugees.
In September, the city deemed the complex unlivable after inspectors found gas leaks, electrical problems, mold and bed bugs.
