Four dead in late night crash Sunday

PLATTSMOUTH, Neb. (KMTV) — Four people died after a late night crash on Sunday involving two cars. Three others involved in the crash have critical injuries.

A 2000 Dodge Caravan had turned northbound onto Highway 75 from 1st Avenue. The van was then observed accelerating northbound in the southbound lane of Highway 75. The Caravan then struck a 2013 Ford Mustang head-on just south of Young Road. All three occupants of the Caravan were killed on impact. The driver of the Mustang was also killed on impact.

Three other occupants of the Mustang were transported to the Nebraska Medical Center. Assistance was provided at the scene. Seat belts were in use by the driver and passenger of the Caravan, and all other occupants appear to have been unrestrained. Alcohol is being investigated as a factor in the crash, and the crash is under investigation.

The names of the deceased have been released:
Walter Guy Minshall II, 57, Omaha.
Brenda Sue Minshall, 49, Madison.
Constance Joann Gillott, 53, Plattsmouth.
Taylor E. Grasewicz, 20, Beaver Lake.

Anthony Scott Drake, Dakota Keyser, and Scarlet Stodola also all received injuries.
